Community Cause

FUELING MINDS ACROSS NASHVILLE!

Book'em is a non-profit organization that provides books to children in need. They believe that all children should have access to books and the opportunity to develop a love of reading. They provide books to children in low-income communities, homeless shelters, and other areas where access to books is limited. What's more, they also provide literacy programs and workshops to help children develop their reading skills.

TRANSFORMING HUNGER INTO HAPPINESS!

Here at BTJ Insurance, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve such a warm and welcoming community. We want to devote every effort to provide much-needed relief to our vulnerable neighbors. For this reason, our community cause campaign will focus on raising awareness and doing everything we can to assist food-insecure individuals and families.

LEARN TODAY – LEAD TOMORROW

At BTJ Insurance, we believe that education is the best way to empower new generations. To make profound changes in our community, kids and teenagers should have access to education and the resources necessary to succeed in school. We want to contribute to our children's future by supporting an organization with a demonstrated track of successfully changing students' lives. PENCIL is a nonprofit organization that builds strategic partnerships between community groups and the Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS).

Working to Ensure Student Success in Nashville

We have decided that we aren’t going to sit on the sidelines any longer, and we are launching a charity effort to raise funds for the Nashville Public Education Foundation, a nonprofit group dedicated to ensuring teachers in our community have what they need to teach our children. Our initial goal is to encourage community awareness and to raise $500 in donations, and we need your help to get it done. To be part of this charity drive, we’re asking that you refer a friend, coworker, or family member to our offices for a free, no-hassle insurance appraisal.

See the Hope Inside Yourself

Neighborhoods across Nashville struggle to provide students with the tools, skills, and resources to achieve academic and professional success. As children transition to adulthood, they’re exposed to unfamiliar situations every day. Some of these transitions can be easy for young kids to grasp and adapt to, while others may find it difficult to navigate on their own. Encouraging these fresh, young minds to join well-established mentor groups can help them form strong bonds with people who share their same interests and passions.

Watering the Seeds of Our Future

We live in a world of plenty and excess which means there should be no good reason for almost 17% of the Nashville population to struggle with food insecurity. This is a phenomenon that The Nashville Food Project is both familiar with and unaccepting of. They’ve been working to combat this issue for over 30 decades and have made great strides.

Making a Difference in Our Community, One Name at a Time

In a world that is constantly changing, communities are oftentimes found still facing the same common issues, albeit perhaps at different intensities. Things like poverty, lack of housing, lack of resources, and more still affect the most vulnerable in our community. That being said, our team here at BTJ Insurance feels strongly about supporting and uplifting our community.

A Spirit of Unity to Help Our Community

Nashville Inner City Ministry (NICM) is a Christ-centered community organization that has made it its mission to empower the “spiritual, educational and vocational development of at-risk youth and their families.” NICM has a multitude of programs such as their bus teams which provide reliable transportation, their conquerors teen program which provides field trips, a leadership development camp, learning centers, and more! All of these programs are centered on helping people understand that their life has value and purpose.

Putting Things In Motion and Beating The Odds

Backfield in Motion is a non-profit organization that seeks to Educate, Engage, and Empower at-risk youth to reach their maximum potential. Through mastery of literacy and numeracy skills, students have a better intellectual, social, and emotional development, which leads to a high school diploma, a foundation for higher education, and the on-job skills needed to enter the workforce. For over 17 years, this excellent organization has driven student growth in Northeast and Northwest Nashville.

Rebuilding Our Community After COVID-19

One out of every seven people in Tennessee struggles with hunger. This is why our agency is on a mission to help the people of our state fight hunger. By supporting the fantastic job being done by the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, we are committed to raising awareness and funds for this very noble cause. We have been working together to bring hope to those going through difficult times, and you can join us in doing so!
